It’s that time of year again Toronto! The Canadian National Exhibition officially kicked off yesterday marking 18 days of fun for some and the official near end of summer for others! Regardless of your viewpoint I think we all all agree that the release of the new food selections quickly become the talks of the city! And with these 14 Crazy, New & Secret Foods at CNE 2024 I can understand why!
Just Peachy
Vendor: Eat My Bowls in the Food Building
Topping my list yet again, is Eat My Bowls with their appropriately chosen “Just Peachy” that perfectly aligns with this years CNE them “peach”! Just Peachy is a delicious Peach Cobbler that is made from scratch on site! A fresh Ontario peach is transformed into a delectable creation by carving out the middle and then refilling the peach with the cobbler ingredients. The peach is then baked to perfection and topped with whipped cream and caramel!
The Bollywood Bowl
Vendor: Eat My Bowls in the Food Building
An unexpected CNE food twist was the surprise secret second new item Eat My Bowls released on opening day! This incredible addition is a delicious white meat butter chicken served in a Yorkshire pudding bowl! Chef’s Kiss!
Wasabi Ice Cream
Vendor: Cafe-Eh-T.O.
What started out as a prank at an all you can eat sushi bar has turned out be the most unusual combination of sweet & spicy this year! It was an unbelievably delicious surprise too! Late one night some friends decided to mess with their boy by putting wasabi on his ice cream, but joke was on them because it turned out to be the best ice cream discovery yet!
Karaage Soft Shell Crab on a Stick

These crustations are not only tasty but memorable too! These critters are not easily missed as hungry customers walk through the food building with their crab on a stick! Farm to Fryer also has their new Mac & Cheese Popsicles which are super cheesy goodness (always a top fav for me!)!
Ube Coconut Crack Drink
Vendor: Omichi
This was by far the coolest new addition this year! The drink starts off white and then you “crack it” by squeezing it and it turns purple! Such a cool grab that tastes yummy too! The also have their selection of designer donuts which are perfect for any occasion!
The Edible Pickle Shot
Vendor: Grandstand Bar
Pure genius, whoever concocted this idea nailed it! This mixture of tomato juice, lime juice, worcesterhire sauce and secret juices make up this super savoury and teeny bit spicy edible shot! Served with your choice of tequila or gin this new alcohol drink is served in a pickle!
Fizz Fest Popping Soda!
Vendor: Yogen Fruz in the Food Building!
A refreshing new must try, the drink was delicious melody of flavours and textures enjoying each all the way through! They also have two other new foods on their menu this year too!
Deep Fried Cheese Curds (Taylor’s version)
Vendor: The King of Curds Food Building
Calling all Swifts, in celebration of the Eras tour The King of Curds have introduced their cheese curds (Taylor’s Version)! The curds are topped with a lavender haze crunch, wildest cream icing, a lover tuft of cotton and bejewelled edible shimmer, all paying homage to the eras of Taylor!
Spammy Tots
Vendor: Get Your Own Taters
Get Your Own Taters are bringing SPAM back to the CNE with their own spammy twist! First they made their own sushi rice Tater Tots. Next they take a whole block of Spam and run it through the French fry cutter making Spam fries! Next they add spicy mayo and top it with seaweed flakes so it’s kind of like a musubi!
The Birria Taco Bomb
Vendor: Mexican Street Food TO Food Building
The bomb is about to explode its pack so full of taco ingredient goodness! It’s served with consume to lesson the blow (jj).
Deep Fried Pickle Oreos
Vendor: Sam’s Grill
When it comes to crazy new must tries and innovation, Sam’s Grill is always on point! And their 2024 food line did not disappoint! The talk of their 2024 favs is the deep fried pickle areas… is this something you’d brave trying?
The Giant Donut
