That’s right Toronto Waterbikes Launch Pre-Bookings today and they have bicycles built for two!
The Inspiration:
Family owned and operated Borana & Migena are two entrepreneur sisters who’s inspiration to start Toronto Water Bikes came from their mom who could never ride a bike. Their goal was to find a way for her to learn how, after a decade of trying to teach her on land. Toronto Water Bikes let “mom” experience the thrill of riding a bike with a beautiful twist!
The Location:
Humber Arch Bridge is one of Borana and Migena’s favourite spots and they wanted to get people excited about getting outside in nature and trying something new especially after such an unusual time we’ve had (COVID). Like me, they believe that physical activity is very important for both your physical AND mental health. The Humber Arch Bridge launch site offers the quiet launching location of the river with spectacular Toronto Skyline views just a few meters away!
The Mission:
Borana and Migena shared “We encourage everyone to get out of their comfort zones and try something new for the first time as much as they can. Watching my mom ride a bike for the first time on water was such an unforgettable moment. She was so happy and rode around for hours – we literally couldn’t get her off. We had the pleasure of meeting a couple of other people that have never used a bike before and they shared the same moment of joy our mom felt.”
Final Thoughts:
In addition to their regular bookings, Toronto Water Bikes goal is to make everyone’s experience as amazing as possible so they are open to special requests!
