How cool would it be to scuba dive a battle tank? I can share first hand it’s VERY cool and today’s post is all about checking off, what was for me, a bucket list must; diving the Red Sea in Jordan! Owner of the world’s first Underwater Military Museum, South Beach, Aqaba in Jordan, offers divers a unique diving experience!

If not now, when?

How to scuba dive the Battle Tank:

As always with my scuba adventures, I visited Trip Advisor https://www.tripadvisor.ca to see who offered the safest and best reviews for my solo diving experience. Coral Garden Diving Center https://dive-inaqaba.com was my winner based on reviews! They offer several dive sites to choose from but my sites were set on a scuba dive of the battle tank and Hercules c-130 and booked accordingly.

The Dive:

In search of sea horses in the waving vegetation of the Red Sea’s floor bed, I barely noticed the Hercules C-130 emerging from the water’s shadows as we approached. Suddenly this incredible piece of history was looming before me, and surprised me with it’s size!
Budding corals, a resident lion fish and an open cargo door entrance kept us busy for most of the dive exploring all that this impressive sight/site has to offer!
The battle tank, my other highlight, sits at the perfect depth for a safety stop which we spent exploring the tank; sooo cool it’s a living piece of the Red Sea’s world!
Despite the several dive sites to choose from, for me, the uniqueness of diving a Hercules C-130 & a battle tank was an easy decision. Thanks goes out to Coral Garden Diving Center &  my dive instructor Zebdah for this epic addition to my scuba endeavors!
