The Red Pagoda

“Do something today your future self will thank-you for”

Today’s destination pic is from a stop on my Yangtze River Cruise, in Zhong County, China 🇨🇳, to see the Shibaozhai Pagoda aka the Red Pagoda!

This architectural marvel built into the side of the Shibaozhai cliff face was a sweltering trek from the ship that was worth the effort!

Inside it’s wooden staircase, the only way to the rocky hill’s top, is an ascent through history that hugs the cliff walls with stories from each dynasty carved into it’s stone faces.

Shibaozhai’s tranquil tenor and breathtaking views inspired peaceful reflection throughout my visit!
