“You will never be like the ‘Little Engine That Could’ if you sit around on your caboose”

– Les brown

Vintage fun in our caboose overnight stay:

Today’s destination pic is from my visit to Smiths Falls, Ontario 🇨🇦 for a unique overnight stay in a 1941 caboose!

Cozy quarters, antique railway treasures and vintage lampposts with their ambient glow, were a step back in time to a peaceful evenings rest. John, our gracious and knowledgeable volunteer host, engineered our adventure, complete with the unexpected highlight of a push car “active exercise” ride!

Our caboose’s cupola (upper lookout) and comfortable beds completed this overnight of childhood nostalgia!

The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario far exceeded our adventure’s expectations making the journey from the GTA worth the trip!
