The Prelude:

My mom has been dying to check out Terra Lumina! When she saw that the Zoo extended their dates once again she jumped at the chance to visit. Terra Lumina is an outdoor event but they require proof of vaccination. As of tomorrow, January 4th they will be requiring the enhanced scan QR vaccination proof. Tickets are sold online and must be purchased in advance.

Our Visit:

On January 1rst, 3 of the 4 offered time slots were still available. As a result we chose the second last time slot for 6:45pm. Mulled Wine and Beaver Tails were available for purchase as soon as we entered the gates. My mom is thrifty so $9 for a little glass of hot wine was a hard sell but I was thankful to introduce her to it! She really enjoyed it! We made our way to the beginning of Terra Lumina where there is an overview map of what to expect. There, the staff directed us to start our self guided tour into the future!

What to Expect?

Terra Lumina is an immersive experience! It begins with a portal that transport guests to the year 2099. Vibrant lighting, multimedia effects and incredible video projections bring the display to life! There is staff throughout directing you.

In short… change! Terra Lumina is an optimistic insight look into the future to the year 2099 where humans and animals live harmoniously together. It’s really not that far fetched if people realized how vital this enchanted world is for our world and ourselves!

Final Thoughts:

I am really glad I went! In the fall, I had a message from a follower that asked me to tell my followers that it was horrible. I would never post a review without experiencing it first hand, butI must admit it did affect my drive to visit! I am grateful that Terra Lumina extended until January 29th and to my mom for insisting we visit!
