A milestone birthday to remember, my friends and I travelled halfway around the world to Bali to celebrate in style! I don’t know about you but for me a huge part of ensuring a trip is epic is choosing the perfect stays while there. From a futuristic eco gem in the jungle to a private jet perched on a cliff, we found some incredible stays, which of course is why I have to share 4 Unique & Luxury Stays in Bali that are worth splurging on with all of you!

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a real-life fantasy world, Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort is exactly what you are looking for.
Reminiscent of Avatar, Ulaman is located in Tabanan, close to Canguu. This 5 star resort is a work of art with incredible architecture that combines bamboo, rammed earth, natural stone, and recycled materials, to create an eco-luxury retreat unlike any other. The cocoon-shaped structures, and jungle surroundings make everything feel magical.
Ulaman offers luxurious villas as well as wellness experiences such as yoga and sound healing which we loved! There are guided sunset e-bike rides, infinity pools and a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to completely disconnect from the outside world. It was clear the resort was intentionally designed to blend into its natural surroundings while showcasing sustainable luxury at its finest. So glad we had a chance to visit!

2. Private Jet Villa Uluwatu – Sleep Inside a Boeing 737
Okay, so there are luxury villas, and then there is sleeping inside a private jet overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The Private Jet Villa in Uluwatu has been on my bucket list since conception but at $4600 Canadian a night it is a luxury that not many can enjoy. Dramatically perched on the cliffs of Uluwatu, this retired Boeing 737 aircraft was once a commercial airplane now transformed into one of the most unique accommodations on the planet.
The villa features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an infinity pool, oceanfront terraces, and perhaps the most Instagram-worthy cockpit I’ve ever seen. We enjoyed panoramic views of Nyang Nyang Beach while experiencing the novelty of celebrating inside a fully transformed aircraft… a perfect way to celebrate for a travel expert …no? Fortunately for us they recently opened the opportunity to visit for afternoon bookings between overnight stays. We were able to check off this bucketlist without blowing the budget.

3. Villa Dawn Bingin – Mediterranean Elegance Meets Bali Charm
Nestled in one of Bali’s trendiest coastal areas in Uluwatu, Villa Dawn offered us a completely different take on luxury.
Inspired by Mediterranean design, this stunning villa combined a clean white architecture, natural textures, and thoughtfully curated interiors, a serene retreat for us just moments from Bingin Beach.
Honestly, the villa’s minimalist aesthetic felt effortlessly elegant. We loved how the sunlight poured in through open spaces and the rooftop area to relax and enjoy while taking in Bali’s epic volcano and sunsets! Villa Dawn was the perfect base with living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two pools. Luxury perfectly priced this stay will definitely not disappoint.

4. Nya Uluwatu – Cliffside Luxury With Endless Ocean Views
Newly opened, at Nya Uluwatu we found a peaceful serenity here that you won’t find in places like Ubud and Canguu. It offered us exclusivity and breathtaking scenery.
Located at the top of Bali’s iconic limestone cliffs, Nya Uluwatu is a boutique luxury retreat with private villas, some even overlooking the ocean. The property felt secluded and intimate, which would be perfect for those looking to escape the crowds while still enjoying Uluwatu’s incredible coastline. It was a great space for us to decompress after our long flight before starting our week long adventures and celebrations.
We loved the infinity pool that over looked the Indian Ocean and the unique architecture of our villa. The combination of modern design and natural surroundings creates a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere.
We chose Nya because it offered a luxury without luxury pricing or sacrificing a sense of connection to nature.

Final Thoughts
Bali has no shortage of beautiful hotels and resorts, but for us these four properties prove that where you stay can be just as memorable as the destination itself.
